Gain in Spain, Down Drain?

Why do so many people believe that the property market in Spain is on its way, down the drain, as generalised by the newspapers.

I have lived and purchased properties in Javea for over 20 years. I have never lost money or capital growth on property, in all this time.

The press may have a story for people buying off-plan in Murcia or Torrevieja, but not in Javea or Moraira. Many estate agents are selling for full asking price or just below asking.
