Euphony

There must have been over 200 people who attended the Euphony Fun Day in Finca Lo Rufete. Euphony staff travelled from Madrid, consultants came from all over Spain and Europe to hear new announcements of products and commissions. We left Javea and travelled south to San Miguel de Salinas, as our fun day was being held at Finca Lo Rufete. It took us around 1 hour and 45 minutes by car. Oscar and Ana from Euphony head office in Madrid greeted everyone on arrival and shortly afterwards we all listened to a presentation of new products, information on additional commissions, acknowledgments for the good achievers and the announcement of those consultants who had qualified for the five star holiday in Mauritius in September. After the presentation we started the Fun Day with a visit to the archery field. We were given a safety talk, as these bows and arrows can kill, ask Robin Hood. We each had a go and some of us missed the circle target completely. We had a few more shots each and started to hit the blue and yellow rings. David Swan made some good shots, as we soon found out that he used to be an archer for the England team, many years ago though!

< Next it was off to the horse riding. We left this to the younger members of our team. It was arranged as a relay race, throwing small balls into water buckets. We were impressed with some of the horse riding skills of the teams and next we headed off to another area to enter into sack races, the egg and spoon race and the three legged races. This is where Tim and I headed off to the bar for a cold beer.

The quads were my favourite, I had a lean-mean-driving-machine which went like a rocket. I managed not to roll it and had great fun. David and Lorraine had a go and they also thoroughly enjoyed it. The track was small, but had humps and bumps and twisting curves, very dusty, and a tough challenge.

After many more events, volley ball, paint balling etc., we were all tired and quaded out. We were ready for some refreshments and food. We ate BBQ rabbit, Spanish omelette, olives, fresh bread and BBQ lamb chops, even some snails. Beers, red wine and cava, washed that all down nicely. The evening gave us all a chance to recall the days events with bruising, paintball scratches and quad bike burns, all proudly on display.

At 02.00 hrs it was time to say our farewells. We had all experienced a wonderful day and thanks to friends and staff at Euphony, new friends and team consultants, we all enjoyed the 'Fun Day' and look forward to many more.
